Nurtured Pets Sponsored Guide Dog Pepper Is Born
28th April 2010
Nurtured Pets, the company behind the Anti-Lick Strip Prevent, is delighted to announce the much anticipated arrival of their sponsored Guide Dog puppy, a gorgeous, yellow Labrador boy called Pepper.
Chosen from a shortlist of names put forward in a competition organised by the company, the name Pepper is especially appropriate for the puppy as cayenne pepper is one of the all natural active ingredients in Nurtured Pets™’ specialist pet plasters.
Hayley Booth, Product Manager at Nurtured Pets explains
“We committed to sponsoring a Guide Dog puppy 6 months ago, and now he’s actually arrived, the whole team here is really excited and can’t wait to meet him. One of a litter of five puppies, Pepper will stay with mum for around six weeks before setting off to the Breeding Centre for his health checks, vaccination and microchip identity tagging.
Then the first real stage of his training begins when he will be homed with a Guide Dog Puppy Walker. We’ll be covering his progress with lots of photos on our website and Facebook.
“As an organisation dedicated to the health and wellness of animals, Nurtured Pets is inspired by the work of the Guide Dogs Association and this is a really important relationship for us.
It takes a very special dog to become a guide dog to a blind or partially sighted person and we are sure Pepper is one of those special dogs.”
